New Coats for the Winter
Funded Nov 29, 2023I am thankful that you have decided to donate towards my project for winter coats. You are appreciated. With the donations from this project I was able to get 6 brand new coats for the winter. Although it is not enough to cover the school, it is a start.
I wish you could truly understand how important your donation is. To provide a coat for a student will prevent them from 1) missing school, 2) having to stand at the bus stop with out the proper attire and 3) comfort in knowing someone cares about them.
I recently gave out the first coat of the school year. The student was wearing her older sister's inapproproaite sweater. That was all she had to keep her warm while she stood at the bus stop. When I gave her the coat, she was so excited. She asked was it hers, could she keep it and was it brand new. She popped the tag off so quick and put it on. She also admired herself in the mirror with THE BIGGEST smile. Every morning when she gets off the bus she bundled and warm in her new coat. She is and was very grateful for the "new" coat.
The BIGGEST smile could not have happend without the help of YOU!
Thank you so much!”

Funded Sep 27, 2023I have been able to build connections with stduents through food. It is a great feeling to know, if a student come to school anytime of the day, they will have a supplement. Student know they are able to come to me in a safe place. They love going through the multiple chocie of snacks ranging from salty to sweet. The students especially the athletes who stay after school visits sometime to pick up tuna, chicken salad, or noodles. Funded Jun 8, 2023Your donations was greatly appreciated. The donations gave me the opportunity to purchase spray deodorants, to gift to staff who work with many students in a one on one setting or personal level.
I shared the deodorants with they gym teachers, grade level admins, dean of students and guidance counselors. I placed it in their mailbox before school started with a note attached that read "don't sweat the small stuff, do something about it." They were more excited than what I thought they would be. A few had stories to share, on how they wished they would've had a can sooner.
Now that school is back in session, I've had stories shared on how students were comfortable going back to class because they were "covered." New students who barely came with clothes on their back, were gifted welcoming bags, without embarrassment. The spray deodorant has been very helpful in building relationship with our students.
We are thankful to have received your donations!”

Increasing Reading & Math Scores!
Funded May 9, 2023I would first like to start off by saying thank you! Last school year we were able to increase our math and reading scores due to the online programs we were using. We were actually awarded the top rank middle school in the district for having also the highest scores on the app. I know this upcoming school year we will dominate in both the apps and test scores. I am confident of that especially with our new headphones. The headphones will help students better focus and gain more study skills. I appreciate your donation so much.”

Funded Feb 8, 2023I appreciate the donations that were used to help build my classroom. My students love the "vibe" of the classroom. They explain to me how calming and soothing it is to be in my room. The low lighting and encouraging words help my students to decompress. The selfie board is one of their favorties. To be able to hang their pictures in my room means so much to my students. They know we are apart of a family and the selfie board reflects it. I have colleuge who ask to use my room to do mediation. Due to the calming enviroment. I appreciate you so much. We are in love with our room. Thank you so much!”

Funded Dec 2, 2022Thank you for your contribution to our new "color" printer. I am in charge of our attendance incentives. I have been able to post beautiful, colorful flyers around our school building. The detailing are more appealing than the blotches of black and white that the students saw before. The newsletters are much more appealing. The students and parents have gave many compliments on the way, they look. Our projects around the classroom are more lively and personal. I am currently in the process of printing pictures of my students. I will be posting them around the room, it will make our room very homey. Thank you for the color printer, we greatly appreciate it.”
