These materials will be used by my students at their homes. Each object has one of two purposes: 1) to give my students a break from the computer screen and 2) to give my students tools to help them develop into confident learners. The earliest grades are all about developing the building blocks needed for more complex learning later. The stress balls and timers will be used to develop learning habits such as clear and effective break time and how do we focus when we are feeling antsy. The rest of the items are going to be used to give the students a break from being on the computer. They will be able to use the counters and ten frames to build their math skills and number sense without having to stare at a screen the entire day. It will also teach them the important role tools have in our learning.
