COVID-19 has created the need to decrease the sharing of items that cannot be easily cleaned. As an occupational therapist in the school system, I work with almost 50 different students. My room has no sink so I am diligent about trying to use materials that can be used individually or wiped down. My students love to use theraputty in our sessions and we cannot use it right now since it can't be cleaned. I am trying to provide all of them with an individual container of theraputty which helps support fine motor and sensory needs. The desire to have equal opportunity for access to materials among the students I serve both virtually and in person is paramount. During our lockdown back in March, I spent a vast amount of time outside of work creating materials for my students. Accessing the large volume of resources on Teachers pay Teachers would assist me with having easily accessible fine motor, visual motor, and handwriting activities that I could use with all my students.
