We study Earth Science in 6th grade, and studying rocks and minerals is a sizable part of our curriculum. Many of my students do not have the opportunity to get out and see Earth’s most amazing offerings up close. We do a lot of mineral comparisons, and in order to get a comprehensive experience a high quality camera is a must. We also use activities to visualize math concepts, in order to add relevance and recall. Modeling note taking is another sizable portion of our year. In a traditional classroom, this is modeled on a whiteboard or smart board. This document camera will allow me to model note taking in the same manner in a virtual environment
