Life can be stressful for our students and that can have an impact on their success in school. Vista Heights Middle School is creating a Wellness Room, a comfortable and safe place where students can get emotional support and work through feelings that may be getting in their way of learning. Our desire is to provide a calm and reflective space for our students to identify their feelings and how their emotions are affecting their behavior. This will be a place for them to feel healing and peace, so they can learn effectively. The Wellness Room will provide sensory items, activities, and mindfulness techniques to help the students deescalate, self-regulate, and focus on learning. Your donation will help us purchase sensory items and calming activities for the students to use when they come to the Wellness Room. We appreciate your support as we try to create a safe place for all of our students to go when they need relief. Thank you!
