COVID has presented many obstacles to student learning. In order to teach our students effectively, all teachers now need to employ digital platforms. Unforunately, schools lack the funding to provide the proper technology for access to these platforms. The DOE has provided desktops computers that have no microphones or video cameras. This greatly prohibits our ability to deliver speech and language therapy services. Having an iPad will help us therapists utilize the same digital platforms classroom teachers are using remotely to service students. Access to iPad ensures there will be no disruptions in service to students with special needs.
