  • Young Musical Artists Need Study Guides

    The Barron's text is a good source for home study. This book, as with all of the Barrons study books, understands the in's and out's of the annual AP Exam. Its step by step methods and study materials surely maximizes the students chances towards optimal exam performance.

    Presently we have been working on the Harmonic Dictation portion of the exam.Students are asked to write the Soprano and Bass parts , as well as the chord analysis from a 4 part example played on a piano- Barrons has an online aural platform with these examples.

    The approach is thorough and substantial and this text has already proven to be extremely helpful. Many thanks to our community at Donors Choose.”

Within this book are many excellent examples of the many skills needed to master this course, as well as tutorials and various problem solving methods to refer to. There are also sample tests and audio presentations available that collectively makes this an all in one study guide. This will be a great resource for these special students.
