AUsome Materials for AUsome Students
Funded Feb 3, 2021My students and I have been so happy with the newly created station in our classroom. All these materials have helped create something that has not only created more structure, but also more love for learning! We call that station the "task-box work station."
The task-box work station is a station full of shelves that have educational boxes with activities the students can do with my paras when they finish their group work. This has allowed for more organization with my paras and the students, and has decreased behaviors within the group time. Students love to grab the given task, open it, and read what they will be completing. We used the photo boxes, and all the lovely materials such as the hole punchers and jumbo tweezers to create task-boxes for fine-motor, math, reading, writing, science, and social studies tasks.
My students love get task-boxes, and again, it has allowed for better management of their behavior if they happen to finish their group work earlier then was planned. We truly appreciate the items that were gifted to our classroom, each day always has something new to see.”

Grow Our Able Classroom
Funded Jan 12, 2021I am so thankful to have received these materials for our classroom. Not only has my first-year classroom grown in the materials it carries, it also grew in happiness and gratefulness from both my students and I. We have taken full advantage of all the new items, and I am happy to share some of the new things we have been taking off with.
First, I will share about all the new file folder activities that we were able to make for our classroom. These file folders are necessary for independent times the students have where they do not feel like they need to take a break. Breaks are automatically integrated into their schedules, but sometimes our kiddos have days where a break might me too overstimulating for them. This is where the file folders come in. If they finish their work and do not feel they need a break, they can grab a file folder and work on this for the rest of the rotation. The materials such as the paper, laminating sheets, and TpT gift card allowed us to create this structure in our classroom.
Another thing that the students have been able to newly engage in is new break toys. As much as our students love to work, these break are very important for them as well because it allows them to reset their minds to be able to give their best efforts throughout the rest of the days work. The Interlox squares, LEGOs, star puzzle connecting pieces, Peapod, and Tangrams are all items that my students LOVE to use for breaks. They build all kinds of creative homes, castles, and animals while still being able to stimulate their brains.
Again, I cannot explain how thankful my students and I are for the items we received for our classroom. It has allowed for great change!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Lemus
