  • Equip Our Little Learners

    Funded Jul 22, 2024

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your incredible support and share the positive impact your contributions have had on my students. The new tables have truly transformed our learning environment and sparked so much excitement in the classroom.

The students are happy to be able to eat, write, and build amazing structures with manipulatives. These tables have allowed us to create flexible learning groups, which has made collaboration easier and more dynamic.

The next step for our classroom is to use the tables for more interactive activities that focus on critical thinking and problem-solving. I'm planning to start a small group intentional focus, where students will be grouped by their reading and writing skills to explore different skills. Your generosity has opened up so many possibilities for us, and I can't wait to see what my students accomplish next.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Tejada

  • Great Mind Builders

    Funded Sep 16, 2020

Thank you for supporting my Great Mind Builders project. Here are some of our students enjoying your donation!

The students got so excited when the boxes arrived and I told them it was new toys for them to explore. They were eager to open the boxes and play immediately with them.

Their favorite manipulative are the magnetic tangrams and the puzzles. It has challenged them to be problem solvers and create great structures with the tangrams.

They use them as part of their free choice time. Im glad I order double for some of the manipulatives as they lean to play with one more than the other and trying to keep social distance.

I take pictures of their awesome structures and display for them so they can rebuild again and strengthen their memory skills. Once again thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Tejada

The Pre-K class that I will be teaching is a new class that has been added to our building. Since we still need to practice mindful distancing, I don't have enough materials to provide each student with their own space to play due to the budget cuts the Dept of Education has been experiencing. Although these may look like toys for the students, these manipulative will build my students' imagination and creativity through play. Using these manipulatives, students practice decision making, develop concentration and perseverance skills while learning about cause and effect, and how to solve problems. They explore patterns through sequencing, colors, ordering, and comparison.
