I would like to get a set of Ozobots for my mathematics classroom. Ozobots are robots that blend the physical and digital worlds — and teaches kids programming. They can identify lines, colors, and codes on both digital surfaces, such as an iPad, and physical surfaces, such as paper. Students gain knowledge and experience with mathematical skills through basic coding using Ozobots. Essentially, coding teaches students to solve problems by letting them choose the tools they need and form their own processes for achieving their goals. Ozobots encourage creative engagement between the student and mathematics and are a great way to integrate STEAM challenges into the classroom. They are easy to program and have four different levels for different programming skills. They can be used for students to learn and review many math concepts. For example, given a piece of grid paper and a checklist, students can find points of origin and then label the x and y coordinates. They can also be used to practice math facts and order of operations among other things.
