Social distancing is nearly impossible in many traditional PE activities. Adding in the limited use of common spaces, such as the gym during the covid-19 pandemic and suddenly students will have lost nearly all opportunities to engage in physically challenging activities. Sport stacking allows students to still feel the rush of competition, remain physically active, and it offers opportunities for success for students who typically shy away from traditional sports. All of this adds up to speed stacking becoming a new staple in physical education programs. Not only will it be useful during the pandemic social distancing times, but will continue to offer a non-traditional activity for years to come!
