  • Wishful for a Whiteboard!

    I just want to explain how amazing having the new whiteboards have been in the classroom. Since the new whiteboards are magnetic it has helped tremendously to hang up anchor charts and resources for students to use. Also, since our Promethean Board just recently got fixed having the whiteboard was a lifesaver to help show students examples.

    My students were very curious to know what was inside the big boxes when they arrived in our room. The students were so ecstatic when they saw the new boards assembled the next day. They could not stop raving over how easy it was to see what was written on the boards. Students loved that they could use magnets to display and share their work with their classmates. The students would always joke that our old board was "ancient" and that it was so hard to erase. Now they always admire how clean and neat our boards look now. My students are so grateful for these new materials and appreciate everyone that made this possible.”

These materials will be used in the classroom to support small group instruction. Our current board is old and scratched, which makes it difficult for students to read. Having a new board will help students to clearly see examples that support student learning. It also provides an opportunity for students to present their learning to their peers. As of right now we only have the old board to write on. Having both boards helps when we have other teachers come and support small group instruction. My students will be so ecstatic to see a new whiteboard that is legible.
