My students are all participating in virtual, distance learning. We are not able to be together face to face due to the pandemic. My students love participating in PE, and I want to make sure that every student has the materials they need to practice their sports skills. With this project, I will be able to provide every student with a small ball and a set of 5 disc cones. This may not sound like much, but for my students, these items will provide hours and hours of fun and learning. With the small balls, students will be able to practice throwing skills. They can practice their hold on the ball, the stance, aim, and the throw. With a family partner, they can also practice catching. With a set of cones, my students will be able to set up obstacle courses where they can practice speed and increase their agility as they run through the cones. They can improve their foot skills as they dribble a ball through the cones. They can also use the cones as short hurdles to jump as they run in their yards and as targets as they practice aiming and throwing their balls. These simple PE tools will provide my students with many ways to keep their bodies healthy.
