  • Essential School Supplies for Student Success

    Funded Jan 23, 2025

Pencils, erasers, and plastic folders are essential tools that significantly contribute to students' organization and focus in the classroom. Pencils allow students to write, take notes, and complete assignments, offering the flexibility to make corrections and adjustments without the fear of permanent mistakes. This adaptability fosters a more relaxed and focused learning environment. Erasers complement pencils by enabling students to correct errors and refine their work, encouraging them to review and improve their assignments. This continuous process promotes attention to detail and a growth mindset, keeping students engaged and focused on their tasks.

Plastic folders play a crucial role in keeping students organized by providing designated spaces for storing and categorizing worksheets, assignments, and important documents. With plastic folders, students can easily access their materials, reducing the time spent searching for papers and minimizing distractions. This organization promotes a more structured and efficient learning environment, allowing students to concentrate on their studies and perform at their best. Both the students and I are truly grateful for these simple yet effective tools that enhance learning and productivity in the classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Simpson

  • Students Classroom Supplies

    Funded Dec 21, 2023

Thank you so much for these supplies. Students now have a pencils each day to complete their work. They use the folders to place their projects, homework and loose sheets to keep them neat and no longer turn in crushed paper. The other supplies are used to highlight their work and be creative each day.

Students were supper happy for the materials because I was running out of supplies and most of their parents doesn't give them supplies. Parents expect the school and teachers to provide supplies.

My next step is to ensure that students use materials wisely for it to last until the school year is complete or I may do one more project to meet the needs of my students. Thanks a million.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Simpson

  • Let's Get Back To Writing For Fun

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

The students were grateful and ecstatic upon receiving the items. Every day for twenty minutes, students use the material to compose their own ideas. Students are currently writing and sharing their own short stories and poetry.

Working with children who are eager to learn and develop into imaginative young authors benefited the creation of this project. Watching them write and place their final drafts in protective sheets and binders increases their pride in their work.

Based on the success of this project, my next proposal for the 2023–2024 school year will focus on school supplies for the new group of students I will be receiving in September.”

  • Renewing Students Love for Technology

    Funded Dec 5, 2022

Thank you for supporting our students with these Chromebooks. Students will now be able to use them in school and borrow them nightly to complete unfinished assignments. Students can now type and publish their work, as well as check for grammatical errors and conduct research to provide evidence in their writing. Accessible computers provide students with the confidence and resources they need to be productive without feeling excluded or disadvantaged.

Thanks once again for your generosity, our students are grateful.”

  • Spin and Learn

    Funded Dec 30, 2021

Having awesome supporters truly makes a difference in our scholars and school community. We want to thank you for giving us the resources in this project to help our student power up the bikes. These bikes will provide data for our scholars and also allow them to work out. The scholars are riding their individual bikes as they do their work. This is a two in one opportunity for them. The only thing that was missing was the cords to power the machines. The classrooms are limited with outlets, but with the extension cords we are able to have them up and running. Thank you”

  • Power Up

    Funded Dec 23, 2021

Thank you so much to everyone that shared, donated, provided positive support. Supporting our scholars has helped us provide them with the tools to help them with the stationary bikes that has been put into our school. These bikes have allowed our scholars to gain a positive look on becoming physically and emotionally healthy. The scholars are given the opportunity to use these bikes during school hours and afterschool. Which will continue to help them stay active and learn more about their self care routines that they can begin creating. Once again please continue to support us in the best way you see fit. We are fortunate to have a great support system.”

  • Tech Time

    Funded Jul 16, 2021

I would like to take the time to thank each and everyone of you for all the support and donations that has been contributed towards my projects. My students and I were able to get a printer, ink and electrical extension cords. Having a wireless printer to print in the classroom at all time will be very beneficial to us. I was able to order paper to help with printouts that will be used daily for both in class and home. We will use the electrical extension cord to help circuit energy on our spin bikes. Thank you for giving us this opportunity.”

Thank you for all the support and donations that has been received. Our school community has been transitioning with blended learning. Having these snacks will allow us to give our students snacks and drinks while doing in person learning. We appreciate all the support and kinds words. Dealing with this COVID in our school buildings has created different emotions for our community. However having these items will create a more comfortable space and setting for our scholars. • Shred the Mess

    Funded Sep 30, 2020

Thank you so much for the support financially and words of encouragement. Working with sensitive documents and not having a way to discretely eliminate it creates a lot of unnecessary storage. As a teacher that wears many hats, having these shredders will help the staff and myself continue to keep our students safe. They are allowing their private documents to remain as such. Please continue sending words of encouragement and donations to support our school community during these challenging times.”

My children all come from different challenging circumstances including being homeless, displacement, and abuse. While being exposed to those challenges and having special needs, it sometimes gets difficult for them to cope. These students rely on me to make our SETSS, Technology, Math class and club a comforting, safe, and an inviting place where they can continue to learn and thrive. Providing them with tools such as books, pens, pencils, dry erase markers, and much more can help create a more comfortable space, to create conversations within the classroom of race, ethnicity, and community. We are also requesting these materials for us to use in our writing center. Writing will be brought to life in their pieces, allowing them to recreate and bring life to their imagination. This will help them build their sense of comfort and enhance vocabulary.
