  • Fantastic Fine Motor Fun!

    Funded May 9, 2023

Thank you so, so much for your incredible generosity! As this new school year has started up, my students have been so excited to try out these new tools and activities that were only made accessible and possible due to you! The button sorting and tweezer tools have allowed us to focus on the underlying foundational motor skills needed for more complex tasks. The gamification of working on letters through the construct-a-letter activity set and different types of pencils have been so engaging for my students. For this year and many more years to come, I will be able to promote the fine motor skills involve dexterity and coordination crucial for drawing, writing, and life skills such as zippering and tying shoes for my students. The students and I are so very grateful!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Patricia

  • I Like to Move It, Move It!

    Funded Dec 15, 2021

My students and I cannot thank you enough for your generosity! Our goal to incorporate more active, engaged methods of learning and growing has been made possible by your gift. The items we received (which included a wobble balance board, a sensory body sock, stepping stones, and a wobble stool) have hugely helped with student engagement during our therapy sessions as they continue to build back the stamina and skills needed for all day learning, away from screens.

The children have especially loved the wobble stool and stepping stones. We cross the stones back and forth while we collect different items and information from around the room, then sit on the wobble stool to put together what was gathered. The children have struggled with the full return to school, and tasks such as writing, maintaining an organized space, and self-regulating have become more challenging. Adding the element of movement (and fun!) has helped encourage the children as we refine and support their skill development.

Thank you so much again for your gift. These are long-lasting items that will be largely beneficial for many students for many years ahead. We are so happy and grateful.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Patricia

  • Having Fun Isn't Hard, When You've Got a TPT Giftcard!

    Funded Feb 18, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous gifts! With the gift card you purchased, I was able to obtain a variety of interactive digital activities for my students who have remained remote during this academic year, as well as for some in-person students! Due to your generosity, my students were able to engage with handwriting activities, self-regulation tools and strategies, and even some life skills and community integration practice, all from the digital resources!

Many of my students (and honestly some parents/guardians who were skeptical about handwriting skill practice over the computer) really enjoyed the activities that help support the fine motor, visual motor, and executive functioning skills needed that can then be transferred to other areas of academics and life.

Thank you so much again for your generosity! This was truly a bright spot in a tumultuous year.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Patricia

While we continue working and learning from home, my students are struggling to remain engaged and creatively challenged on the screens day to day. They often do not have adequate materials within their homes for participating in the activities that we would have worked on in the school building that enable them to build the skills they need for participating in their everyday routines and tasks. Having a diversified collection of digital materials can help ensure that my students can continue to learn and grow despite these circumstances beyond their control. The variety of resources available on Teachers Pay Teachers allows me to tailor my sessions for each student's individual needs and interests to encourage their continued engagement and growth to achieve their goals even while we remain online. Teachers Pay Teachers has a wonderfully wide array of activities, and strategy ideas that can be adapted in many different ways for many different students, such as developing visual schedules, practicing fine motor skills for writing, and developing executive functioning skills for problem-solving and planning.
