I need a good quality computer to be able to work from home when I am not at school. I need to be flexible with my virtual students, and with online learning-I am working many hours that exceed my contract hours at school. We are a low-income district, and many families work double shifts. If a student can't do their online lesson until 7pm, I want to be able to help them. Or, if I am quarantined due to COVID, I want to be able to create quality lessons from home and have a computer where I can Zoom or chat via video during school. I chose Nearpod and Flocabulary because they are easy to modify for student with learning disabilities and work well with one another to create lessons. Last,, but not least, all of the technology will help my many dyslexia students that struggle with simple reading and writing on a regular basis.
