The items that I am requesting definitely already have a place in my classroom! I am excited to see the transformation that will be a result of flexible seating in my classroom. Students traditionally think desks and chairs when they think of a classroom, but my hope for this project is to allow them to step out of the ordinary and into a different but fun style of learning. I have a very bright vision in my head that begins with my students wanting to sit on a bean bag chair or on a chair that wiggles while learning in my class.
When I think about how restless my students are currently in regular desks and chair, my heart jumps with excitement just knowing that having the option to sit at a table or the middle of the classroom on a bean bag and learn their facts. My students have been dealing with a lot of life issues in their homes and it is through no fault of their own that it is difficult for them to focus on learning. It is my hope and prayer that someone will see this project and be touched by the mere thought of extending this opportunity to a group of students who are deserving learning at a level that will foster creativity and purpose! Thank you!
