Our Library/ Media Center here at Edwards Middle School is very outdated and is not a very inviting environment. Our goal is to get our students back into the school Library/Media Center so that we can increase library book checkout to get our students reading more. By increasing our library book checkout we can help our literacy rate here at EMS. Our students take a STAR assessment every three months to keep track of their progress to make sure our students' Lexile is continuously increasing. We would like to create a more engaging environment by replacing outdated furniture and create more books display so that students can see what books are available for checkout.

About my class
