For the most part, our primary revenue source is registration fees paid by the parents’ of the players which are often neglected simply due to the fact that our families can’t afford the cost. Therefore, as a program we lack the essentials that are needed such as equipment, team camps, travel fees, proper uniforms, shoes, travel expenses, and much more due to the lack of funding. By missing out on such opportunities makes the road towards success much more difficult for the “Lady Eagles” basketball program. Likewise, because we serve a student body of which 98% of our scholars receive free or reduced lunch, it is challenging if not impossible to ask the families who are a part of our basketball program to pay the appropriate amount of participation fees that are needed to run a competitive high school basketball program. Do to the lack of funding and other resources, it puts the program in a position that is extremely challenging to provide a successful experience for our scholars. In many cases, we are not on the same playing field as our competition. With the help of donations as such, it will improve our resources which in return will make us a more competitive program.
