The goal of this project is to give my students a new experience into color theory that goes beyond color pencils and crayons. With the materials requested, I will be able to teach my students how to work with acrylic paints to create color wheels, understand how colors work through color theory, and give them an opportunity to work with traditional artist materials. Student at this level often think that art is about drawing. I want to take them beyond that. I want to show them that you can create art in all kinds of different ways and that drawing is not always required. I want to give them the opportunity to express themselves in ways that simply can not be done with other media.
