On behalf of the Anderson Middle School cheerleading team, I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation towards helping economically challenged students purchase cheerleading uniforms and other equipment. Your support makes a significant impact on these students' ability to participate in an activity that promotes teamwork, school spirit, and personal growth. We were able to preform at school football and basketball games for both the boys and girls. The cheerleaders participating in pep rallies including academic pep rallies prior to the start of LEAP testing. They were also able to appear in a local parade and had a great time doing so.”

Thank you for your generosity. We were working with a brand new curriculum that had not been fully fleshed out yet we were struggling to find supplemental materials that met our state standards and were on level for our varying student population. With the funding I was able to get two Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards and myself and two other teachers were able to get those supplemental materials from other teachers who had more experience with this particular curriculum. We were able to use the resources to help over 350 7th and 8th grade science students.”

It is with abundant appreciation and indebtedness that I write this impact letter to you for your kindness and willingness to give, toward "Shed Some Light". I was able to communicate with my LEP students but also their parents some for the first time. It isn't always feasible to find a translator daily or even for important grade conferences so the translator was a great tool. We were also able to create a comfortable setting for impactful lessons and note taking with the addition of the standing lamp. Thank you for your kind and generous donations! We are very appreciative!!"”

My students were able to use the supplies purchased to show off their school spirit and participate in a great team building and self esteem building activity. The students who would normally not be able to participate because of limited funds at home. Ultimately we were able to provide dance team uniforms for 24 girls which was greatly need. As the lingering effects of covid kept our number fluctuating. We were able to bring school cheer to our entire student body and staff. With the help we received we were able to divert funding to travel and participate in a local parade that ended up being broadcasted nationally for Mardi Gras and trust me our girls faces were shining so bright as everyone complemented their uniforms and their performance.”

Thank you all again for supporting my classrooms and students. The help you have given this year has helped me maintain contact with all of my students when many of them have had to switch back and forth from in person to distance learning due to Covid-19 quarantine protocols. Luckily items that were purchased with your donations allowed the classrooms that we share to remain as safe as possible. Once I received the soap dispensers we were able to eliminate waste and extend the lifetime of our supplies. The bands helped those that were confined to a solitary space and suffer from ADHD to take their minds off of the troubles all around and focus on their classroom task. The earbuds have helped many be able to participate in school clubs that are meeting remotely. The recent additions to my classroom have help us create various learning activities that previously required group interaction but now we can safely do at a distance.”

The items I selected will aid my students in many ways while adjusting to the new normal. The printer will allow me to print extra help sheets immediately in my room. The dry erase supplies will help the shyest of students to participate in class activities since they will have to remain in their seats socially distancing. The earbuds will allow them to use programs that have videos or aid in pronunciation by limiting noise and distractions from others in the room. They will be allowed to take these home to continue studying and completing homework assignments with out disturbing others in the home.
Safety first is our motto this year so my school is implementing several hand washing and sanitizing procedures in the classroom. The hand soap dispenser will distribute a reasonable amount of soap or sanitizer in order to speed and streamline this added procedure. This will save valuable minutes that add up through the course of a day and week that can be better utilized as instructional minutes.
