Funded Nov 25, 2020Thank you for your donation to our class project. The Storyworks Jr. Magazine is leaving an impact on the students. This project has developed a love for reading. All of the students are engaged with the online resource.
The students are able to read all different genres including fiction, non fiction, plays and poetry. Not only are the students exposed to highly enriching texts they have access to deepen their comprehension by participating in activities that challenge them. The magazine includes activities such as vocabulary work, character questions, inferencing skills, cause and effect, setting, problem and solution. In addition, the magazine offers leveled multiple choice and short response questions for the students to work on. They love to identify the type of question asked in a multiple choice question.
One of our favorites is the debate section. This is where the students are asked to pick a side about a topic then build their writing skills through essay work. Storyworks Jr. offers amazing tool kits and plans to help the students organize their thoughts.
Again, you see a love of reading and learning with access to Storyworks Jr.”
With gratitude,
