  • Keeping the Winter Blahs Away

    Thank you so much for your generosity. We are now deep in the Spring term and state exams loom on the horizon, along with Summer’s promise. Being able to provide a warm, supportive space for the kids after school is one of the best things we can do for them. Your kindness plays a big role in that.”

  • Keeping the Light on During Winter's Darkness

    Thank you so much for your generosity. The goals of this project were not lofty. We simply wanted to be able to give these students things to do after school, in a safe space, especially during winter's cold days. Students watched films (Tremors, Napoleon Dynamite, Perks of Being a Wallflower, Moonrise Kingdom, etc. Films are suggested by students and then voted on; ) or played Mah Jong. I was providing these snacks at the start of the year. The good news is that the clubs grew. The bad news (for me) was that it meant buying more and more snacks. Yikes! Your support allowed us to provide yummy snacks for these kids week after week. Really, thanks an awful lot.”
