COVID 19 is creating all new protocols for schools this year. I am excited to be teaching in person with my kindergartners; however, they are not allowed to share any supplies and must be social distanced at all times. Because of this, I want to make sure we have adequate supplies for them to still receive the best kindergarten experience. I plan on making math tool kits, and making sure every student always has their own pencil box fully stocked. We will be wearing masks all day long. I think it is imperative for each child to have a lanyard to help keep track of their masks during mask breaks. We want to make sure every child and staff member stay safe. I also want to teach my students about diversity. My goal is to provide them with various texts that will support this. Read alouds are my favorite time of day, and many of my kids will say the same! I want to build my classroom library to help build early literacy skills during this time.
