My students are in a dual language program. 50% of their instruction is in English and 50% is in Spanish. Unfortunately there are not many great Spanish resources available for our students. Scholastic News offers great non-fiction text with engaging photographs and topics in both English and Spanish. My students would greatly appreciate having some authentic Spanish reading material that is exciting and engaging. Not only would they have access to reading and listening in Spanish but they could also offer activities to go with each magazine. These activities meet science and social studies standards and are a great way to engage my students in learning.
