Treats and Treasures
Funded Dec 4, 2024Thanks so much for contributing to our classroom reward system by adding new treats and treasures to the classroom treasure box! My students are happy to work towards their goals and earn great treats and prizes along the way. This has greatly improved motivation and classroom behaviors.
By increasing motivation, my students are keeping their love of learning alive and trying their best to work hard to potentially get a reward later! My students always work hard each day, but it is even better to work hard and get a little toy or treat afterwards!”
With gratitude,

No Ears Left Out Here
Funded Sep 18, 2024Thank you so much for the great new headphones and headphones organizer! My students love using them for computer activities, games, and listening to directions on tests! The new headphones are much better quality than the old ones and sound much clearer. The bright, fun colors make my students excited to use and the felt organizer keeps them displayed in the room neatly (which encourages students to use them).
With your generous donations, my students have been able to all have their own sturdy headphones to use when listening to directions, playing computer games, or working iReady lessons to practice their reading and math. This provides much needed equity amongst my special education that would otherwise struggle with reading content on their computers. They feel excited to use headphones in their favorite colors and take great care of them knowing they were donated by kind sponsors like you!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Stennis
This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community & an Anonymous Partner and 5 other donors. You Get a Seat! You Get a Seat!
Funded Aug 17, 2021My students were so elated to see the new flexible seating options. Each student tried the seating options and chose which seat was most comfortable for them. I jokingly acted like Oprah saying the famous "You get a seat!" line while my students giggled and roamed around the room.
We immediately used our new flexible seating for reading station rotations! My students were happily reading on yoga mats, inferencing on yoga balls, and citing evidence in desks with wiggle bands and wobble pads. My most fidgety students finally felt comfortable sitting in a traditional desk with the wiggle bands and wobble pads.
Our next steps will be getting more books for our classroom library so everyone can enjoy a good book while sitting in their special flexible seating arrangements!
My students and I are so grateful to have our new classroom resources thanks to our generous donors. My students can now feel more confident and comfortable in my classroom.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Stennis
