Thank you so much for funding my project that provided Science magazines for my students. I love that they can stay up-to-date with everything happening in the world of Science! Sometimes we can get stuck in the monotony of the curriculum that is to be delivered, and while extremely important, the kids like a break in the routine with something that is still very relevant!
The Scholastic Science World current science magazines are perfectly targeted for my high school kids. The articles are filled with hot topic information that is right up their alley! Most of the time, they are learning without even realizing it. Thank you again!”

Thank you for donating to my project, Subbing Throughout Our Communities Part II. We were fortunate to get the sublimation printer funded. This allowed us to be able to create the banners that were purchased in this project. The students have been using their creativity to create banners. The banners will be placed in our school and also throughout our three communities. The banners will be available for purchase if anyone the community wants to purchase them. The ink and the oversized large sublimation paper made it possible to create the banners. I appreciate you supporting my students and classroom.”

Thank you for donating to my project, Subbing Throughout Our Communities. My students were excited to see the big printer get delivered to my room. We have been working on designing banners to share throughout the community and the school. The banners will show off our school spirit. We are hoping to expand our options to other items for the school. A few items that I have mentioned to the students are bookmarks and coasters. We will work on designs representing the school. Thank you again, for supplying this great printer to my students.”
Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom project! Summer is always so hard to come back from, so anything that I can do to make my classroom feel warm and inviting is very important to me. I want my students to look forward to coming to school - and to my class!
I can't tell you the number of excited exclamations that I received! "Ms. McGeehan! Your room looks so good!" "I love the way this classroom looks!" It immediately put a smile on my face and truthfully, makes me feel better too!
Thanks again for you kindness!”

Thank you for donating to my project, Replenish Basic Classroom Needs. My students come from single parent homes or homes where they are living with their grandparents. Therefore, any basic supplies I receive or buy go straight to my students. I want all my students to feel equal no matter what their status may be and by you donating it helps me achieve this. The laminating sheets and magnets are used to create scavenger hunts for my students. The magnets allow me to hang up the clues on our lockers. This allows the students to be actively engage in their learning.”

Thank you for donating to my project, Weather or Not Climate Change. I was able to put my students into groups to play the plate tectonic game. They really enjoyed playing this game with one another during class time. It really helped my students learn the concepts about plate tectonics. We had just finished up on the unit of plate tectonics when they arrived. So, it was perfect timing for them to review before their test. They also enjoyed the kits that allowed them to do various experiments about weather. Thank you so much for donating to my classroom and my students”

Thank you for donating to my project, Beautification from School to Home. My students really enjoyed making their own houses. They also enjoyed putting the flowers in front of them. They were able to use the gardening tools, at least the small tools to plant the flowers and watch them begin to grow. Students then took the flowers home where they could plant them at their own house. The students use the colored pencils to create their house on the card stock. I appreciate you donating to my students. They have enjoyed this project and were able to share it with their families.”

Thank you for donating to my project, Organizing Creative Science Projects & Labs. My students love making slime in class and the items in the projects will help me be able to continue to do just that. The slime has a name called "Mountaineer Muck" and being from West Virginia, it makes the slime even more enticing. The other items in the project will help me with organizing my labs for the students such as the stickers. I will be able to group students according to the color of the sticker on the lab they receive. The folders will help me keep items separated. We do a lot of coloring of land formations so the crayola markers for all my lab tables will make my room more equitable. Thank you again for donating to my project.”

Thank you for donating to my project, Clip It to the Outside. My students are excited to be able to go outside to complete their work. We will be using the clipboards to go on nature hikes behind our school building. The clipboards will also be a great while working in the computer lab. With the computers on the tables, there is not much room to complete the written parts of the assignments. The clipboards will provide the hard writing surface that is needed to complete worksheets. As you can see in the pictures, I had a colleague put our school logo on them to personalize them. Thank you for donating to my project.”
My school district chose to go with a hybrid model thIs year due to COVID-19. My Students will attend school two days a week and be virtual the other three days. My school district approved funding to go 1:1 for my students. The district is going to provide my students with IPads.
My students are in need of stylus pens to be able write accurately when solving problems on their new iPads. My project will provide stylus pens to all of the 8th grade. I want to be able to provide for my students and my teaching partner’s students to make it equitable for all students. We teach Pre-Algebra and Algebra and the students need to be able to solve problems while showing us their work. The stylus pens will allow the students to complete all their work. The pens will be extremely beneficial to our special needs students and those that have disabilities with fine motor skills.
