With such great learning loss from our scholars due to COVID-19 it is imperative that scholars have the appropriate materials needed to receive a high-quality education. These novels and resources will set the foundation for scholars to think critically about who they are and how their experiences has shaped them thus far as 3rd graders. Providing scholars with representation of themselves in novels can show them that they can aspire to be someone that will create a change in this world. This will help scholars think critically about their belonging not only in the classroom but in their communities.
