  • Building Socialization Skills for Children With Special Needs

    Funded May 16, 2024

Thank you so much for the resources and games you have provided for our school. Our students love everything picked out; it has brought a new and refreshing way to target speech goals. The social skills board game is especially an asset as it has already taught our students valuable lessons on interacting with and respecting peers. The kiddos also have been tapping into their competitive side with some exciting rounds of Monopoly Junior. Thank you again for such a generous donation. You have brightened our days!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lexi

  • Diverse Books for Teacher-Made School Library

    Funded Jan 19, 2024

You have made such an amazing impact on our self-created school library. Our kiddos were instantly gravitated towards the new books that you have provided from us. It's such a gift to have our students see characters that have their hair, their skin, their culture, and their experiences in books that they can take home and read with their families. We are forever grateful for your generous gift.

Often teachers and related service providers are using their own money to help make school feel more welcoming and provide a more colorful way to teach! Your donations really take a lot of pressure off of us as we often feel we owe more to our students because the education system fails us. If you'd like to donate to us again, please feel free to check out my project on helping our special needs kids build social skills.

Again, thank you for your love and time! Pictures are on their way! :)”

  • New Speech Therapy Activities to Enhance Language for Special Needs

    Funded Aug 29, 2022

Thank you for our new learning materials! The "What's Going On" cards have been great with practicing inferencing skills with the kids. They love the characters on the cards and have already learned a lot about perspective taking. The "Pronoun Cards" have been great for practicing our sentences, as most of our students struggle with producing complete sentences. The "Race Track" has been such fun for our preschoolers! Using this toy, we've gotten some of our little ones to say words such as "go" and "more".

Thank you again for opening your hearts to our school! You have really made an impact on our student's learning environment.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lexi

  • Sensory Gym for Special Needs Elementary Kids

    Funded Sep 7, 2022

Gym time just got even better!! Thank you so much for our new sensory gym equipment! Our student's loved exploring and playing with the "See-inside activity balls". They've also had a blast with the "Tactile squeaky balls". The "sensory mats" have been a great addition to our gym relay races. I would have to say that their number one favorite item is the "Red Rock Around"; all the kids run for a turn at the rock around when they get to gym.

Your contribution has made gym time more exciting for our students who rely on sensory input to help regulate.”

  • Building Language and Reading Skills for Children With Special Needs!

    Funded Aug 24, 2022

Thank you so much for our Fluency Reading Activity! My students have loved the stories included and they get super excited when we use the reading timer. I'm happy to say we've already seen improvement on words read per minute! I'd also like to thank you for our sensory flashcards! Our preschoolers have loved feeling of the softness of a bed or the bumpiness of a basketball. It makes learning new vocabulary fun!

You have made such a great impact for our student's speech and language sessions!

    Thank you, again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lexi

  • Learning is Fun!

    Funded Mar 1, 2022

THANK YOU SO MUCH for these amazing activities! My students have already learned so much from them. They helped me unpack the boxes and wanted to try everything right away. All of the materials have helped me to enhance speech therapy lessons for my students in new and creative ways. Our school does not receive many resources or funding, therefore we are tremendously grateful that you have donated to us! Please understand that you have made a big difference for us. We all wish you the best in your adventures!”

  • Giving Nonverbal Special Needs Children A Way to Communicate!

    Funded Nov 15, 2021

Thank you so so much for your contribution towards an IPad for Speech and Language therapy. Our non-verbal children now have a way to practice communication using the IPad that you have funded. We have been practicing requesting, commenting, greeting, and many other important functions of language. Our children's personalities are now exposed and shining with their ability to communicate with us! Now that we have this ability to practice, our children can now be approved for their very own IPads to take home. We send our donors the warmest THANK YOU! We couldn't have done it without you!”

  • Learning Tools for our Awesome Special Needs Kids!

    Funded Sep 16, 2020

My children are absolutely loving their new method of learning with the OSMO! The children come in ready to learn and asking to use the OSMO. It has so many different types of games with various levels, giving much access for my students to learn. This has given my children motivation to spell, problem solve, do math questions, read stories, and so much more. As you will see in one of our photos, one of our students even started dancing because he was so excited. We are all so grateful for our donors! Thank you again for making such a big difference for our kids.”

Our children have been facing a difficult transitioning period in their learning. In school, they are used to using tactile objects/manipulatives to learn. At home, they are adjusting to using technology to learn. The OSMO builds the gap between physical and digital learning. This is especially important for children with special needs, who require additional supports to make learning accessible. The OSMO could also be used during remote teaching to read story books and engage our students in activities. With the OSMO our students will learn problem solving skills, reading, spelling, math, social skills, and expand creativity.
