As a child my mother went to the library weekly and chose books that inspired in me a love of reading and good literature and a curiosity to learn more about people and the world. I want our school library to give our students this same gift. I particularly remember the hard cover books and the Caldecott award winner books. I loved the pictures and the cultural diversity of the books. The authors and illustrators were of particular interest to me, and I would always read the information about the author and illustrator first. Hopefully these books will inspire our next generation of authors and illustrators. We are also requesting a few bookcases to display them.

About my class
