These tools will help our students regulate their bodies and minds in between academic instruction while in the classroom. We will use modeling and various social stories to teach students how use these tools to help them cope with emotions or feelings. Students with significant cognitive impairments may have emotions that they do not understand. With the help of the tools in this cart, students will learn beneficial coping skills and appropriate outlets for emotions. With the assistance of sensory tools, learning coping skills for various emotions can help my young students begin to self-regulate and convey their needs more clearly.
