KINDer GARDEN!
Funded Feb 16, 2022KINDer GARDEN was started last year, the class that first got to experience the art of planting gasped when I presented to them all the materials we had received to begin our garden. They were excited to begin and start creating the garden. As a grade level, we divided up the pots and started planting, our goal was to plant every pot filled in our school's garden. However, at the end of the day, many of the students asked to take their plants home. As the year was coming to an end and nobody would be available to take care of the garden during the summer, we agreed to let them take their plant. Those kinder students are now in first grade and sometimes say hi to us in the hallway and tell us that their plant is growing or that its leaves have fallen.
This new school year brought new students who were excited to learn about the garden. With a new team of teachers and students, we have all agreed to begin the garden this year once again. This time we hope that the garden can flourish in our school permanently. I'll post pictures as the garden starts to flourish, currently, we have begun our lesson on plants and have started planting different seeds in pots. Our gardens sign is in the making by one of the parents that volunteered.
We are excited to see the garden in the ground soon and hopefully, it stay there for a very long time!”

Funded Sep 28, 2020I want to start of by thanking you for the donations. The items that were donated to my classroom have helped tremendously, especially in this new year of hybrid teaching. The technology has helped keep the classroom controlled in order for all sorts of fun and engaging learning activities to take place. The doorbell is used to catch everyone's attention and bring them back to whole group instruction. The microphone has been the most exciting to use, the students love it! We use the microphone to highlight any exciting news such as birthdays, learning accomplishments, new brother or sister, a tooth falling out, etc. This has really helped give the classroom a very warm welcoming environment. When students feel at home and comfortable they do their best learning. The class also received new classroom materials such as folders, sharpeners, and erasers. The items have helped give each student their own set, in order to minimize contact. They all have an activity folder is where they have all the things they need to be successful in kinder. The sharpeners are lifesavers since pencils are always breaking.
Once again thank you, without the items class would not have run as smoothly as it has.”
With gratitude,
