I can explain the standards to my students all day and they still may not grasp the material. The thought and concepts of atoms are hard to understand, when just seeing pictures or drawings on the board. Those methods do not provide a full visual representation of the atom's shell. It really helps when the students have something visual or something from the real world to relate the standard to. This Model Bright Atom kit will allow me to show the students the shells of the atom and better explain where and how the protons, neutrons, and electrons are placed. This kit also has student kits included which allow them to experiment with making the atoms as well. This will make the concept more concrete versus being abstract.
