Virtual teaching is the new normal, at least for 2020. Students need to be heard and a set of headphones will clearly help me hear even the shyest child. A cell phone holder and light is needed to be use as an inexpensive document camera where I can be hands free to show the children math games and basic reading strategies. The laptop stand will allow a quick and smooth transition from one chart to another so the students can follow the lesson with ease. Since students are learning from home with their eyes on a computer screen, it is imperative that the lessons be as smooth as possible for these very young learners. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve the children's virtual class experience, you will help to increase their social-emotional learning which, will ultimately increase their academic achievement. This year is my students' first official year of school and one major objective is to create a safe and positive social and academic experience that will set the tone for their entire school career. I am dedicated to create an amazing space for my students in a world that may or may not be amazing.
