Keeping Up With Kinders!
Funded Dec 22, 2021My students were super excited to get snacks and fidgets upon returning to school! We used our snacks every day in the afternoon to help us push through to the end of the day. Because we have lunch much earlier in the morning at 10:15 am, by the afternoon around 12:30/1:00 pm students were hungry again. Your generosity made it so that I could provide a small snack to all students so they could have enough energy and brain power to make it to 2:40 at dismissal.
The fidgets were an immediate hit! Each student got to choose their own fidget that they wanted to have and keep at their table. They were eager to use them and show each other which one they picked. Having young students it is important that they have the opportunity to engage with their learning without being too distracted. The fidgets were quiet enough to not cause issues, while also giving students the opportunity to self-regulate and move when needed. Thank you again for your support of our classroom.”

Funded Feb 24, 2021Thank you once again for your generosity towards my students. It truly means the world to me. Teaching virtually during a pandemic is never something I imagined I would experience in my career, and yet here we are almost to the other side of it. We teachers had to get as creative as we could to help our students learn and grow while learning on their computers.
I created this project because I knew my students needed something tangible to help solidify our math concepts. We were able to use our materials right in our lesson as we explored math concepts of counting objects to 20, adding and subtracting within 10. Every day during our concept development, students would use their materials along with me to have a tactile way to see the concept in real time. We would split our cubes into groups or use them in our number bonds to help represent numbers we were breaking into parts. Students loved using them and showing me they had them. I will admit it was tricky to make sure they kept up with all of their cubes, since they were at home and I was at school. But we made it work.
Students were very excited when they got their materials. The next time they joined virtually, they held them up to the camera to show me they got them! Parents/Families drove up to the school to pick them up, so many students didn't see them until they got home. I was able to go over them and explain what each material was for.
Students were able to use their materials through the end of the school year. Our next steps are to continue to get prepared for first grade. We will get as far in our math curriculum as time allows, and use our materials as we grow in math skills and knowledge.”

Teachers Can Do Virtually Anything!
Funded Sep 9, 2020Thank you again so much for your generosity! These products have greatly improved my ability to teach virtually with much more ease. I have been able to utilize the computer stand to help keep my laptop working without over heating due to hours of use. This has allowed for a longer battery life and overall fast processing without glitches. The wireless mouse has been a life saver so that my wrists do not get tired from all of the clicking and navigating I do on the computer. I use many extra tools, like my document camera and my writing tablet that need to be plugged into my laptop and it has been very efficient to have the port with 4 extra USB ports so that my laptop is not overloaded with USB plugs.
I think my students were most excited about the tablet stylus pens. Unfortunately since we are not in person, I am unable to see them use the pens, but a few students did show me that they received them when they picked up their materials bag from the school. I explained to them that the pens are not for paper, because many of the students thought they were broken. But I think they understand what they are for now. It has been disappointing to not be able to see them use them in person, but I am glad they were able to get them.
I have enjoyed using my stylus pen and writing tablet as well since they allow me to demonstrate writing letters, drawing pictures and numbers and more in "real time". Students are able to see the letters appear and watch how they are formed, which really helps them learn to write them too. Overall these products have been a game changer and for that I am thankful. God's blessings to you for your generosity!”
