Storage for Scholars!
Funded Nov 10, 2021These storage bins were really great in the class because they can hold student papers. The kids were eager to organize their bins on their bookcase. Students were excited to have a place for their materials while we transition to flexible seating. They are eager to have a place for their things. You will see the bins on our bookcase ready to be used.
The shoe storage was used for our headphones! I was able to buy hooks to hang them and our students put their headphones in them. This saves space on the ground and gives their headphones a home.”

Funded Dec 7, 2021This carpet has made an incredible impact in my classroom. The color is beautiful and it has been a great addition in the classroom. The students have been able to use it during whole group instruction, and have been eager to come forward. My students were very excited to finally have a soft rug to sit on. My class was excited to see how soft and plush the rug was too. They quickly took ownership and decided not to wear shoes on the rug so they could keep it clean. The vacuum has also been something that the class needed. It works on the rug and the tile as well! You will see in the picture how great it left the rug when we used it. My students were also excited when they saw the vacuum, one even showed me how to use it! Overall, this rug has been used and loved so much already and I cannot wait to have it for years to come.”

Funded Nov 10, 2021This cozy corner of my classroom has changed the class dynamic in the best way. My students reach for their library books more and they want to silently read. They look forward to an opportunity to use the library. These resources created a cozy nook for students to sit and enjoy their books. My students exclaimed " we can't wait to use the library" when they saw all the resources. They constantly ask if the library will be available during Language Arts time. They have taken ownership of their materials and want to take care of them. My students take their shoes off before going on the rug and using the chairs and ensure that the class is following that norm. They understand that this rug and cozy corner to read needs to last for years to come! These materials have brought a new level of enjoyment to my students as they read. We are very grateful for it all.”

Funded Oct 22, 2021My students were so excited to receive all their boxes of resources to use for their safe place. They use the coloring book consistently when they need to take a break from the day. These resources are primarily used in what I call the safe place of my classroom. It is a corner in my room where the kids can set a timer and relax. The basket has a coloring book, stress balls, and a journal. These tools have contributed so much to their mental health! They are healthier because of the tools that are embedded into their day for stress. They can use this whenever they need to. The blue chair provides a safe place in the classroom library for them to sit. As you can see from the pictures, the students love to sit on the flexible seating provided by the discs. They are able to get all their wiggles out while they sit for a lesson. I am going to continue using these tools in my classroom to provide a space that promotes mental health and flexible seating.”

Funded Nov 10, 2021The impact this project has had on my classroom is so significant to us. Before this, my storage was not enough for all the paperwork that teachers are in charge of keeping track of. I use the file organizers and desk organizers daily to store returned student files, student data, and office paperwork. I use the binders to store my copy original. It is wonderful that each paper has a home now. I tell my students all the time how important that is.
As you can see from the photos, the plastic bins are perfect for our math manipulative. My students were very happy to see their materials stored outside of a closet. They use them so much more just because they are much more accessible to them. My students especially appreciate the linking cubes that are easily accessible now. They love their bins and practice carefully taking the lid off and snapping it back on.”

Funded Nov 11, 2021My students noticed their new boards right away when they walked in and saw the bulletin boards. They loved the colors and exclaimed "wow! we have a new classroom". For my students, the newly done boards did make it seem like they had a new class room. As you can see from the pictures, I was able to use the burlap bulletin paper to cover a wall that was behind a closet. This made that area more welcoming and aesthetically pleasing.
The pencil sharpener was also a big hit in the classroom! My students were so happy they had a functioning pencil sharpener. It is being used everyday and I assign a new pencil monitor every week. My students have taken ownership of their pencil sharpener and are learning how to be gentle with items and take care of them. We are so grateful for the materials that are being used every day in our room.”

Organized and Ready to Learn!
Funded Nov 10, 2021My students and I are benefiting from this donation in big ways. Our classroom is environment is so much better thanks to these plastic bins. Our math manipulatives are organized and are ready to use. My students were so excited when we opened our boxes. They exclaimed "this was the best class I could have been put in!". They absolutely loved putting the class together as well. They took ownership and helped move our math materials from the classroom closets to the bins. My students were also eager to use the plastic bins to organize their paperwork. They are so excited with their newly organized classroom!”

Funded Oct 13, 2021Our ink for our classroom printer has significantly impacted our classroom. My printer helps me on the daily, it directly influences my students and having ink is so meaningful. The ink in the printer allows me to have coloring pages in our safe place, print student assignments, and awards. It also gives me access to printing colored art for my students to see. Positive affirmations are important to the mental health of my students and they get to see them all over the classroom! My students love to read the positive messages to each other and a few in particular have a routine where they go and see them! They use the coloring pages when they need to be reminded of a growth mindset and my students soak all the goodness in that is on the pages.
Thank you for my ink, it helps so much!”

Funded Sep 10, 2021My students were so excited to have basic classroom supplies to start the year off. They have been able to organize their materials and were very happy to do so. My students loved the colorful folders and notebooks that they were provided with. They were also happy to have their very own class binders.
My students have benefited tremendously from the crayola markers! My anchor charts are more consistent and have more color to them. The chair has provided a safe space for the kids to sit under a canopy. We are so happy to have it!”

Funded Aug 19, 2021Scholastic News is a spectacular resource that helps me teach my class "close reading". Close reading is when students read the text two- three times and analyze the features, main idea, and key details. It builds reading comprehension which is huge in third grade.
My students read Scholastic News once a week and the program also includes awesome practice pages! They are able to answer questions about the text using textual evidence which is also a big Common Core Standard in third grade.
My students enjoy the magazines because they vary in topics. They have social studies topics, social emotional, and science topics. The magazines are all kid friendly and relevant to their lives. My class gets very excited when there is a new magazine ready to be opened. I cannot imagine my class without this resource. Thanks so much.”
