  • Books for Bright Learners

    Funded Jun 21, 2022

Our students are so excited to have these books in our classroom. We read them everyday during small groups. Students are able to choose a book for the week and read them. They also read them the second they are finished with a class activity, they love them! My class is a dual language class that needed access to books in their target language. This project met that need.

Additionally, I have been using The Wild Robot in a literature circle for my students who are reading above grade level. They are able to practice reading comprehension with a book at their level.

We really enjoyed the book on feelings as well! It paired perfectly with our social emotional unit.”

  • Scholastic News for Scholars

    Funded May 5, 2022

Scholastic News has been an essential part of my instruction for years and it is all thanks to donors like YOU. This magazine provides students with a glimpse into what is happening in the world around them and is presented in a very engaging way! Students read this magazine with me every week and the video on the online platform ALWAYS hooks them in. They love the change in routine and curriculum and feel special because they know they are one of the only classes with this subscription. They cheer every time I pull the magazine out. We learn skills like close reading, answering questions with textual evidence, and main idea/details. Those skills are combined with any science, social studies, or social emotional topic that the magazine presents. Thank you again for making this happen. Our class really appreciates it.”

  • A Place for Our Supplies

    Funded Jul 1, 2022

These supplies were a GAME CHANGER this school year. Students were so enthusiastic about having a place for their supplies and so was I !!! As stated, I used the envelopes for the student's incentive tickets and students feel great about having a place for them. Throughout the year, they receive about 200 and now they will not have an overflow of tickets in their desks and boxes. The pencil bags work so much better than pencil boxes and take up much less space as well. The hooks and shoe holder has been working nicely as a headset container and the kids have been able to use it successfully.”

  • Engaging Books for Excited Readers!

    Funded May 6, 2022

Many of my students really enjoy Captain Underpants, and Dr. Seuss, they were so excited!!! Dr. Seuss is especially popular because it gives students an opportunity to read something at their reading level. Students are also very engaged when they read Captain Underpants and Dog Man, and anime books. This project had it all! There were books for very personality in my class. Even a girl who had a hard time choosing a book- she was completely into the anime book!

The stickers were also a huge hit! They helped me motivate students to read more because they were able to earn stickers.”

  • Paint and Pop

    Funded Apr 27, 2022

The treasure chest items and paint have made a huge impact in my classroom!!! I would say the treasure chest items have been the most impactful so far. We have experimented with the paint and it is nice to have access to an art supply that we usually do not have.

Our treasure chest is a big hit during Fun Friday. Students are very motivated by being able to visit the chest. When they earn 35 points they can choose their favorite toy. My students were very excited when they saw the items in the chest. It has been a great resource and I am so grateful!”

  • Lap Desks for Learning Littles

    Funded Jan 19, 2022

My students were so excited to have lap desks! They enjoy having a choice between sitting at a desk or sitting on the rug. Students like being able to use their lap desks for whole group instruction and small groups as well. The lap desks fit their chromebooks and they're able to go on various websites without needing to move to a desk. My students have taken ownership of these lap desks and sanitize them daily. They enjoy stacking them neatly and enjoy cleaning them. We have enough desks to rotate each day so each child has access to them every week. Thanks so much for your generosity and impact in my classroom.”

  • Ink for the Classroom!

    Funded Jan 14, 2022

This ink was so helpful in my classroom. It helps my students have access to their practice pages in a quick manner. It also gives my students access to pages that are differentiated quickly. I am able to print their work and display it on the boards in the classroom. Having ink allows me to print things on the spot and it is so helpful. Ink is expensive and I am so grateful for your generosity. It is much needed in any classroom, because we need originals to make copies. Having access to printing things in color is irreplaceable.”

  • Books and Lap Desks for Learners

    Funded Jan 9, 2022

We love our books and lap desks! Thank you so much for this incredible gift in our classroom. My students who are emerging readers have loved being able to choose a book at their level. It is so great for them to have access to a book that they can actually read. There are many books in my library but they aren't at a level that was needed. Students have really enjoyed all the books as well because they are engaging. The students also really enjoyed the lap desks. They loved being able to use during whole group instruction and it provided a flexible seating option as well. My students loved these so much, I had another project for lap desks funded!”

  • Phonics Fun

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Our TPT gift card has really helped us during small group instructions. We have been able to use various resources that were purchased with the gift card. I have bought a lot of practice pages with various long vowels, and blends. It has been incredibly helpful to differentiate instruction and not worry about the financial burden. With this card, I am able to purchase ready made products that are ready to print. Students are excited to use resources that are at their level. The gift card has specifically helped with small group instruction.”

  • An Easel for Small Groups

    Funded Nov 11, 2021

This easel was so helpful for small groups. I use it all the time as well as my teacher assistant. My students were so excited to see it in the classroom because it is so big! It has so much room for my students to see what is being presented. During small groups, I am on one end of the classroom and the teacher assistant is on the end with no white board. This has been so helpful with instruction. It provides a great space to write sentence frames, vocabulary, and new concepts. It also provides storage to the class. We are so thankful.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Parson

Many of my students live in homes with multiple siblings who are also attending class via Zoom. It is challenging for my students to focus in class because of the background noise that inevitably comes with their situation. This pandemic has forced my students to learn from home and in order for them to be successful I feel they all need headphones at home. They will be able to hear me as I am doing lessons and because they have an embedded microphone, I will be able to hear them when they participate.
