  • Ending the Year Right!

    Funded Apr 22, 2023

My students and I have been using these resources since we received them. The white poster paper created a beautiful canvas for their self portraits for open house. I am delighted to show you how wonderful their art work turned out on these papers. They were heavy duty and held up well. I have also been using the step ladder as I put these different projects up for open house and the tape has come in handy to do so!

Students were very excited to see the stuffed animals that they were going to build upon. Each child received one animal and their materials (toothpicks, duct tape, etc) to create new adaptations for their animal based on their environment. The students are looking forward to using their water balloons at the end of the year. I am looking forward to gifting them their sunglasses as well. Thank you for helping our class have a great open house experience and end of the year!”

  • Dash Robots for Learning!

    Funded Dec 5, 2022

We use these Dash robots weekly in the classroom during a time that I call STEM centers. This is a time where some students are building with Legos, coding on their computers, or coding their robots Most students prefer to use the robots and have learned to take turns on their Chromebooks to code them. It has been so encouraging to watch their joy as they learn to move their robots with coding technology. Many of my students would not have these opportunities if it wasn't for generous donors like you. The gift card has allowed me to purchase resources that support my Math and Technology learning in the class. Thank you!”

    Mrs. Parson

  • Dashing Into Computer Science!

    Funded Dec 5, 2022

Our dash robots have made a huge impact on our classroom. They have been able to motivate and engage my students on a level that I did not expect. My students consistently ask to use the Dash robots and are learning to be responsible with technology. They are in charge of storing the robots, cleaning them, and charging them. With my supervision, my students are learning how to value expensive equipment and use it wisely. They are differentiating between Dash being a robot they can code and Dash being just a toy. I have truly enjoyed watching them learn to code and care for their robots.”

  • Ink for Our Class!

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

Ink for our printer is always valued in our classroom. It allows me to print in color and to print student work as well. I am also able to print spontaneously if I need to differentiate a lesson quickly. So far, we have used ink to print posters in color, print our school work, and print colorful pictures of animals for my student's research projects. When I print in color, it adds to the value of my student's work. They feel more proud of the work they have typed and are excited to display it. We use our printer daily!”

  • A Class Cricut for Our Boards

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

We have enjoyed using our Cricut in the classroom to print various letters for our bulletins. The Cricut brings an element of technology to our classroom that we were missing. For christmas, my students were able to make personalized gifts for their parents and we used the Cricut to print names on the ornaments. Additionally, students are able to experience beautiful boards in the classroom all thanks to this tool. I am looking forward to incorporating this technology more and more into my classroom.”

  • Let's Go for Some LEGO!

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

These legos have allowed me to form what I call "STEM centers" in my classroom. Each week students get to use their lego sets to build creatively. They enjoy using their creative engineering skills to build different items. Students have especially gotten excited to build the catapults that come with the LEGO education sets. They work together to share the legos and put them away so they are also learning team building skills. I feel that these items have allowed my students to learn so much while they "play". We love our sets!”

  • Class Basics for a Wonderful Group

    Funded Nov 4, 2022

These pencils have helped my students to be responsible for their materials and have helped to keep our class organized. Students have enjoyed having lead pencils and say they "write better with their lead pencils". As a class we came up with the values of each item and students pay for each pencil with tickets. They feel more responsible for their tools since they are paying tickets for them. Students also use their whiteboards daily for their Math work. They bring their white boards to the rug and I use them to keep them engaged during the lesson.”

  • Science for Star Students

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

The gift card and notebooks that were provided to me because of your generosity has made a huge difference in our classroom. During science, I pull small groups to facilitate English Language learning and the TPT gift card has allowed me to buy many materials that help me with small group instruction. I have bought units to supplement our curriculum and some amazing resources to help my students with an upcoming exam. My students are able to be engaged with the materials and enjoy small group instruction because of these resources. They use their notebooks daily to take notes during our science time.”

  • Treasure for Third Graders

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Our students were so excited for this project to be funded. Their favorite prize to save up for is definitely the slime. Thanks to your donation, all students have a fidget pop it at their desk for moments when they need them. Students get really excited on Fridays when they know that it's their turn to pick a prize from the treasure chest. They are eager to know if they gathered enough points throughout the week to pick a prize. Additionally, students really enjoy the different games that I was able to purchase as replacement items such as monopoly deal. They ask to play this every Friday as well.”

  • Off to a Good Start

    Funded Aug 19, 2022

The impact this project has had on my classroom has been tremendous. First of all, the TPT card has allowed me the opportunity to purchase so many materials for my dual language class! The pages pictured are not even a quarter of what I have been able to purchase. I supplement my math curriculum and Language Arts curriculum with practice grammar pages and math pages. Additionally, I purchase many pages that I use for my student's homework packets. A homework page attached to a packet is pictured.

The class uses the microphone when explaining math problems and it gives all students an opportunity to hear the presenter. We really enjoy having a student microphone and the students take care of it. The markers help with our posters and the magnets also allow me to post things on my white board. As a donor you will also see how we use the stickers to differentiate between English and Spanish materials. This project was vital to the beginning of the year! Thank you.”

Many of my students live in homes with multiple siblings who are also attending class via Zoom. It is challenging for my students to focus in class because of the background noise that inevitably comes with their situation. This pandemic has forced my students to learn from home and in order for them to be successful I feel they all need headphones at home. They will be able to hear me as I am doing lessons and because they have an embedded microphone, I will be able to hear them when they participate.
