Our school year began online for the first nine days. Most of my students have siblings who also were engaged in distant learning. While in our chat rooms, it was very difficult to have a discussion because of all the background noise of parents talking, TV playing, siblings talking, etc. If we should need to go back to distance learning, I am sure the headsets will allow my students to hear each other without background interference and participate in the discussions as well. In class, I would like my students to be able to use programs like Learning A-Z, AR, Starfall, iReady, etc. By having headsets (that are durable), my students will be able to use technology to support what they have learned in class, without disturbing other students who are not using technology. Whether at home or at school, these iPad accessories will enhance my students' education with out disturbing their peers. I use a program called Nearpod to create interactive lessons, where students can be a part of a poll, answer exit questions, draw pictures to answer questions, etc. My 6 year old students are currently their little fingers to write their answer, which is often not legible. Having a stylus pen, would allow us all to understand what each of us are writing/drawing. It was a dream come true when the District bought an iPad for each student. Having these accessories would be the whipped cream and cherry on top.
