School Nurse Needs Wheelchairs

Thank you very much! The wheelchairs are appreciated and have been put to good use! We use them in each of our three buildings when students are injured or have a medical condition that causes a need to be transported to the health office. The wheelchairs are also helpful when parents pick up students and they need a safe way to get to the car. The wheelchairs definitely help keep our students safe. As the school nurse, wheelchairs are an important tool and it is just more professional for transport and keeping us nurses safe as well. Much appreciated!!”

This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 17 other donors.

Wheelchairs will help our students with learning so they can be safer and more mobile when they are going from class to class at the Jr/Sr High. Crutches are hard to use when you are also carrying a chrome book and other supplies. Also, wheelchairs will help the teachers and staff get students to the health office faster and safer in the event of an emergency. Wheelchairs will also be used if needed to transport students to the vehicle safely when parents pick them up. I have also requested an office chair because one of our nurses does not have one.
