• Pretend Play Palooza

  Thank you for supporting our Pretend Play Palooza project. Our students love the new baby dolls and toy dinosaurs that your generous donations have provided. We use these items during our home visits with families.

  Students engage in social emotional role play using the baby dolls as they play house. They develop empathy and compassion skills as they "take care of" their babies. They learn about responsibility and being a part of a family unit. The toy dinosaurs encourage pretend play and creativity skills. This supports language and cognitive development in young children.

• Fuel for Fun!

  Thank you so much for your wonderful donations to our Fuel for Fun DonorsChoose Project! We were able to engage our students in our first in person walking groups during the month of June. This allowed our students to enjoy physical activities in nature.

  Physical activity and nature helped relieve some of the stress of the past year of COVID19 for our students. Taking a break to go outside and have some fun while walking helped our students feel refreshed and ready to learn.

  The snacks provide by you have them a boost of energy and excitement to learn.”

• Little Eagle's Kindergarten Bootcamp

  Due to COVID19 we are visiting with our students virtually instead of in person home visits. Many of our families do not have the needed materials to support our lesson plans. These fine motor literacy tools will be used to make up virtual visit supply kits for our Kindergarten Bootcamp visits. These visits are specialized for children that will be attending kindergarten in the Fall of 2021.

  This will allow our students to continue to practice virtual visit learning activities in their home between virtual visits. Your generous donations will help close the kindergarten readiness gap for our students and support parental support of student learning.”

• Fine Motor Frenzy

  Thank you so much for partnering with me to support Joplin's littlest Eagles! Due to COVID19 we are visiting with our students virtually instead of in person home visits. Many of our families do not have the needed materials for our lesson plans. These fine motor tools were used to make up virtual visit supply kits that we dropped off to student homes. Our families were so excited to learn about our Fine Motor Frenzy project and to receive the fine motor activity supplies!

  During a virtual visit one student used the tongs to start sorting out the colored pom-poms into a muffin tin for the very first time. He had been working on sorting by color for a time. His mother was so surprised that she sent her Parent Educator pictures of his first time learning experience.
