  • We Can Do it....TOGETHER!

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

As an educator I wanted to make it our mission to fight food insecurities.

We can use the opportunity of creating a food and snack pantry using the requested food items, snacks and pantry storage cabinet to teach my students why it is important to give back to others when there is an opportunity to give back.

My vision for this project was to have students create a fully stocked pantry for distribution to those in need whether within our classroom or in our school community. I feel it is never too early to teach students about giving back, and taking action to support a cause that will make this world a better place.

Thanks to your kind generosity our project became a reality and our kiddos will be encouraged to always think about others, and have empathy for those who are less fortunate.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mollinedo

  • Books and books and books....Oh my!

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

Thank you and thank you again! A love of reading does not happen easily when you have no books to call your own. Your support gives every 5th grade student what they need: a book to read and keep. In the past, it was difficult for me to understand how books cannot be readily available for all children to read. While working at my school for the past 28 years, I have heard many of our children say they have no books at home. My goal is to provide every child with one book, then another, and another. My motivation is to increase their love of books. Without a book, how can you determine its value? Thank you for giving and helping me reach my goal.”

  • Sweet Motivation

    Funded Apr 30, 2024

My classroom this year consists of 5th grade special needs students. Having some treats is essential in order for my students to push themselves towards their goal. Thank you to the generous donors for donating all the different sweet treats to our classroom and my students. These incentives are extremely important to keep the students motivated. I am able to use those treats during lessons, completing assignments and after assessments. My students enjoy them and get excited every time they earn a treat.”

This project has boosted my teaching and students' learning in such a positive way. I recently had my students take their mid-year assessment and I was able to see their growth. Every single student improved their reading levels. This support you've provided is so important and crucial to our class. I will continue to motivate them and provide an opportunity to be successful.

I will forever be grateful for your support. It is nice to know there are still people out there who believe education is still a priority.”

  • Virtual Learning and Technology

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you so much for all the help that these donations have done for my classroom. The students have been able to benefit so much from the donations. Being in a middle class neighborhood, not all of the students are able to have the same experience as others as it can be divided. The printer that was donated allows me to make sure I have enough for every single student and no student is left behind, instead of them having to find their own way to print their own things out. I truly think all of these donations will have such a positive impact on their futures.”

We are in a new environment due to virtual learning. Students in my classroom come from diverse and sometimes low income communities. My students will use the technology to check up on their virtual school programs, complete and share their knowledge via Classdojo since we will not be seeing each other on a regular basis. With this technology, the parents can even get involved with the students and me as a teacher to make sure everyone is having a smooth transition to the new virtual learning programs during our school days virtually.
