The use of maps will make a difference in my students’ learning. During guided reading, we often read of various places and setting. The maps will allow me to quickly refer to the place, investigate the setting and explore the setting in context to where they reside. The maps can be used during virtual learning also in the classroom setting during class discussions and during guided reading activities. The students are more engaged in reading assignments when they have a point of reference. For example, some students have never visited a beach, but when I can show them the place on a map that’s located near a beach students then have a point of interest.
