  • Our Cozy Classroom Community

    Funded Oct 17, 2024

I am so excited to finally have these dream items funded for my classroom. My students and I thank you so much! We cannot wait to gather on our new rug and to utilize our new bookshelf for math materials and easy access for students. This is truly a blessing. Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Menendez

This classroom project was brought to life by The Maxwell/Hanrahan Foundation and 13 other donors.
  • Creative Little Learners

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

I cannot say enough about the project. My students really flourished with all the art supplies given. We were able to create literacy centers, and let the students imaginations shine with all the supplies. At the end of the year we used the colored cellophane and made stained glass artwork for them to take home and hang in their homes. It was quite a hit. Once again thank you so much. The faux grass and led light was a huge hit. Students loved having their pictures taken in front of the photo wall to show off their work. Parents also loved seeing them show off their best work. I attribute the success of the year to all the amazing donors.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Menendez

  • Safety First So Our Students Can Learn

    Funded Aug 27, 2020

You have no idea how much this has impacted my class! they were able to feel comfortable and safe during the pandemic. the air purifiers were so helpful to my students and the indivudal pencil cases ensured that students had their own set of materials. The students were so excited to pick their own color for the pencil case and to put all of the crayons, pencils and colored pencils inside. It was so nice to have the familiar feeling of school during such a stressful and uncertain time in their academic journey. The salt lamp was such a calming addition to our classroom. Sometimes we could sit with the lights off and the soft glow of the salt lamp was just enough to keep everyone happy calm and focused. Thank you so much for all the generous donations.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Menendez

These times are unprecedented but our student's ability to learn should not be. Through this project my students will have the necessary protective equipment like masks, sneeze guards, and HEPA filters so they can be successful in the classroom. My students deserve to feel safe and not have the anxiety of wondering if they are going to get sick. Should we have to transition to home learning the extra supplies with each student having their own individual carrying case will make sure that learning can still be equitable even from home. I can't tell you how many of my students don't have access to pencils and crayons in their own homes. This project would ensure that they have not only the tools they need for being in the classroom but for when and if they are learning from home. The helps make the transition between in person and remote learning smooth and equitable for my second graders who truly deserve every opportunity to be successful.
