Dear Donor,
Thank you for your generous donation to our "Respectful, Responsible, and Ready Rewards!" project.
Your donation has had a great impact on our school. All of the items purchased with your donations have been utilized in the School Colonial Store. The school store is an authentic simulation of a real-world business. The core values and practices of the school store follow the three R's of the WFMS Colonial Code, to be respectful, responsible, and ready while applying 21st century skills.
The store is a branch of our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program. PBIS is a way for schools to encourage good behavior. With PBIS, schools teach students about appropriate behavior in all settings, just as they would teach about other subjects like reading or math. The focus of PBIS is prevention, not punishment. Prevention strategies include rewarding positive behaviors rather than focusing on the negative behaviors. A reward students receive for good behavior is "Colonial Cash." Colonial Cash is paper money, in value of $1, that can be used to purchase items in our school store.
With your donation, students had the ability to purchase new and exciting items that may not have been available to them before. We stocked the store with school supplies, USB drives, basketballs, soccer balls, Gatorade water bottles (a favorite amongst our students), fidget spinners, stress balls, and many more items! Your generous heart has already impacted our students in the first few months of the school year. We are off to a great start and will continue to promote a positive school culture.
Sincerely,
The WFMS Advisor and Employees
