Colorful Classroom for Little Learners
Funded Nov 29, 2023First and foremost, thank you so much for the generous gift you have given to this early education room. These scholars have benefit immensely when they are able to be engaged with colorful small group manipulatives and posters. The colored ink makes learning more exciting especially for my students that need a little more inspiration while learning. The colored ink helps for young student to better retain information and I have seen it working it's magic on 2 students in my class that needed a little more help with their retaining their letter names.
The colored ink not only helps with retention, but also helps with engagement and clarity on subject matters. Black and white ink can be confusing for four and five-year old's to decipher pictures, but with colored ink, there is not much confusion. The students are better able to understand rhyming houses, CVC words, and compound words using colored ink words. Lastly, the colored ink helps my students with understand their daily schedule, jobs, and other important classroom organization tools. Thank you so much for giving my class the gift of color.”

Funded Sep 16, 2020My classroom has been tremendously impacted by this project through Donors Choose. I am eternally grateful for the donors that provided these resources for my students. This document camera had the greatest impact on my virtual classroom. I have used it every single day since I got it for my classroom.
The document camera has made engagement levels in my class rise extremely. I use this camera every single class and for at least two subjects. The document camera has made it so my students can watch me write and use math manipulatives. The document camera also helps me with sight word practice.
The blue pocket chart helps me teach sight words in my classroom. The students are able to see them on the chart and behind me on zoom. I also use the pocket chart in class to help my students with sentence structure. I will put the words in the wrong order and have my students help me rearrange them on the pocket chart.
My classroom and will be forever grateful for the amazing generosity we received for this project.”
