The materials and supplies that I am requesting will go a long way in supporting my students with hands-on at home learning during the pandemic. I will send students home at the beginning of the year with an individualized "lab kit". Throughout our class, students will use these supplies to create at-home lab investigations. Students will use supplies provided by your generous donation to discover the awesome science behind the sounds they hear! For example, we will use the tuning forks as a way for students to discover how instruments that produce sounds do so through particle vibrations. Plus, students get a chance to share their connection with different genres of music and listen to cool tunes! The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful scientific discovery. By implementing this hands-on Sound Unit, my students will begin to see themselves as investigators and scientists. We will use these materials to aid us in the process of becoming life-long discoverers. As the teacher, I have done extensive research and reading on the applications of science and Physics in music production. Yet I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
