Tools for Speech Therapy for All My Students
Funded May 7, 2021This technology has greatly helped me with my students both in person and online. As Covid continues I have a mix of students on my caseload.
The monitor has helped both my students at home by allowing me to be more productive during sessions and organizing contact easier. At school I have been able to use the monitor as more or less of a projector as we still cannot share many manipulatives.
Special education is often left out of the mix in terms of funding especially technology so these items are greatly appreciated.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Kathleen and Chip Rosenbloom and 6 other donors.Help Speech Therapy Kids See and Hear Their Sounds
Funded Sep 3, 2020I initially requested a donation for the camera because of the improved clarity and sound then my built in camera and microphone. As we are still in distance learning this has been instrumental in helping my kids see and hear sounds when providing therapy and has helped in eliciting language and reinforcing visuals used weekly in speech therapy.
My families have reported an improvement in hearing and seeing what I present during therapy. It has helped with projecting my whiteboard, storyboard and using toys to help elicit sounds (the train as a visual for beginning, middle, and ending sounds).
The big blocks are a great addition to help with language and speech goals. In the pictures uploaded the focus was on language. Combining vocabulary from apple lessons with Wh?s. I have also written on sounds to practice on the dice and rolled the dice for the kids.
The questions/hat activity has been beneficial for my social language groups. During distance learning with the camera I received through donors choose I can have students pick from a field of 4-5 pictures to describe the picture or to turn it over for them and have them ask questions of a peer during virtual speech.”
