It is so important for my children to see that STEM careers are a viable option for their future. With our eventual return to in-person instruction, it is critical that I instill confidence in my children and their abilities by placing an emphasis on the reality that STEM careers are achievable for everyone, including women and minorities. Utilizing the IF/THEN collection will solidify my students' understanding that they can work in the Science, Technology and Mathematical fields. My students will be able to see a future for themselves in these fields. The iPad will be used by my students to research women and STEM from the IF/THEN collection. They will then select one woman to continue to research, write a report, and make a passionate speech on how they have been inspired by this hero.
