  • Basic Art Supplies for Art Stars!

    Funded Sep 12, 2024

Your support has been transformative for our students! At our school, many children are experiencing art education for the first time. By providing basic art supplies you opened the door to creativity, self-expression, and discovery for these young learners.

Art education nurtures essential skills like problem-solving, fine motor development, and even academic reinforcement, but more importantly, it gives students a voice and a sense of pride in their work. Your contribution directly empowered our students to explore their imagination and build confidence through art.

With your help, we established a vibrant art program that will leave a lasting impact on their educational journey and personal growth. Thank you for believing in the power of creativity to inspire and uplift our students!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Miller

  • Multicultural Paint Sets for Art Stars!

    Funded Nov 9, 2022

I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your contribution to my Donor's Choose Project "Multi Cultural Paint Sets for Art Stars"! The tempera cakes were essential for the various self portrait projects we have completed so far this year.

My students were so excited to have access to materials that represent their diversity and uniqueness. More often than not the only color choices for skin tone is peach or brown, but with these materials my students were able to to select from a rainbow of shades to match their unique skin tones. My third graders were able to use these supplies to make full body self portraits. We had amazing discussions about what made them special and unique and how they were proud of their skin color. This project gave my students the opportunity to highlight the positivity, pride, and joy they feel about themselves. This was made possible because of you and your generosity!”

  • Multicultural Supplies for Art Stars!

    Funded Sep 15, 2021

I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your contribution to my Donor's Choose Project "Multi Cultural Supplies for Art Stars"! The multicultural crayons and paper were essential for the various self portrait projects we have completed so far this year.

My students were so excited to have access to materials that represent their diversity and uniqueness. More often than not the only color choices for skin tone is peach or brown, but with these materials my students were able to to select from a rainbow of shades to match their unique skin tones. My Kinders loved and using swatches of the multicultural paper to compare to their skin tone and their classmates skin tones which lead to amazing discussions about what made them special and unique and how they were proud of their skin color.

The upper grades loved having access to a variety of skin toned crayons for their drawings because it allowed them to represent themselves with accuracy. They took pride in creating their Positive Affirmation portraits and Thoughts About Me portraits and had the opportunity to highlight what they loved about themselves. These opportunities to highlight the positivity, pride, and joy they feel about themselves was made possible because of you and your generosity!”

  • Markers for Art Stars!

    Funded Aug 29, 2020

The first project we got to create with these markers were anti bulling posters! The kids loved having a new material to work with after using crayons for so long. They were very excited and greatly appreciated your contribution. In a time where we still can not share materials and I am teaching off a cart, art looks very different than in years past. Your generosity has given my students greater exposure to more materials and I really appreciate your generosity! The kids are very excited to use these markers for future projects like marker printmaking and as a way to explore painting with water! Thank you again for your donation!”

  • Paper, Pencils, and Sharpies!

    Funded Aug 29, 2020

Thank you so much for your contribution to my project! My students both in person and at home were very excited to receive their art kits to use for their projects! Since we cannot share materials, it has been an amazing relief for my in person students and I knowing they will always be prepared for art because each student has their own packet of materials to work with each class. My fully remote students loved their art care packages and parents were happy they could safely come in and pick up the supplies their children needed and not have to go out and buy supplies risking exposure. My students have been creating beautiful pieced this year with the materials you helped provide for them and we are all very grateful for your generosity!”
